Everdawn privacy policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026.
Everdawn is an app for quitting or cutting down a habit and building good ones. This policy explains what the app does with your data, in plain words. The summary fits in one sentence: your data stays on your phone.
1. Who is responsible
Everdawn is published by Mohamed Djamil, sole trader (French SIREN 108339714), Toulouse, France, under the OMNAI Apps brand, who is the data controller under the GDPR. Contact: everdawn.support@omnaiapps.com.
2. What stays on your phone (and never leaves it)
Everything you enter in Everdawn is stored in a local database on your device:
- the habits you choose, their mode (quit, reduce, build), quantities and prices;
- your days won, streaks, slips and what you write about them;
- your evening journal (moods, urges, triggers, answers, notes);
- your reasons, your savings goals and the photos you add to them;
- your SOS sessions and how they ended;
- your settings (language, currency, appearance, reminders, lock).
Everdawn has no account and no server: this data is sent nowhere, is not synced to any cloud, and we cannot access it. When you change phones, you take it with you through the export (Settings → Export), a file you keep wherever you want.
The habit you choose is health data under Article 9 of the GDPR. It is never transmitted, to anyone.
3. What leaves your phone
Three technical services receive data, all anonymous or technical.
3.1 Anonymous usage statistics (TelemetryDeck)
To learn which screens are used and where people stop, the app sends named events ("welcome screen shown", "paywall shown", "SOS finished"…) to TelemetryDeck (TelemetryDeck GmbH, Germany, hosted in the European Union) with: a random identifier generated on your phone and then hashed (renewed at most every 13 months), the app version, the operating system, the phone's language and region, and whether a subscription is active.
Never: the habit, amounts, notes, dates, reasons, or anything describing you. One exception, with your explicit consent (unchecked by default on the welcome screen, changeable in Settings): the family of the habit (nicotine, alcohol, food, screens, behaviours, body, drugs), never the habit itself.
You can turn these statistics off in Settings → Anonymous usage statistics. The identifier is then erased.
3.2 Subscription (RevenueCat, Apple, Google)
Payment goes through the App Store or Google Play, which know your store account and payment method; we never see them. To know whether your subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat (RevenueCat, Inc., United States, standard contractual clauses) with an anonymous app-specific identifier and your in-app purchase history. No name, no email address.
3.3 Crash reports (Sentry)
If the app crashes, a technical report goes to Sentry (Functional Software, Inc., hosted in the European Union): the version, the operating system, the screen where it happened and the stack trace. Reports are scrubbed before sending: no entered data, no habit, no note, no personal identifier.
4. Notifications, photos, lock
Reminders (evening journal, milestones, good habits, trial end) are scheduled on your phone; nothing goes through a notification server. Photos you add (reasons, savings goals) are copied into the app's private folder and stay there. The lock code is stored hashed, on the phone only.
5. The website
everdawn.omnaiapps.com is hosted by Cloudflare. It sets no cookies and embeds no analytics. Download links carry a source parameter (for example s=tiktok_fr) that says which network you came from, with nothing about you.
6. How long
Your data stays on your phone as long as you keep the app, or until you erase it (Settings → Erase all my data, or by uninstalling). Anonymous statistics are kept at most 25 months by TelemetryDeck. Crash reports are kept 90 days by Sentry. Purchase history follows your subscription at RevenueCat.
7. Your rights
Access, rectification, erasure, portability: since everything is on your phone, you exercise them directly in the app (export, edit, erase). For anonymous statistics we cannot find you: the identifier is random and hashed. For any question or complaint: everdawn.support@omnaiapps.com. You may also contact your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL, cnil.fr).
8. Minors
Everdawn is for adults (18+). The year of birth asked on the welcome screen stays on the phone.
9. Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is published here with its date. A change to what leaves your phone will be announced in the app.
